Wild Strawberry Rujana
A berry-bearing plant of highly valuable dietary and taste properties, cultivated from planted seedlings. A variety that does not form stolons, it is repeatable, giving a high yield, and resistant to frost. The fruit are elongated, with sharp end, vividly red, and yellow-green at the tip, fragrant. The period for sowing seeds depends on a planned date for planting in the field. Seeds should be sown into boxes with soil mixed with peat and sand. The seeds grow slow (4 to 6 weeks). Seedlings with 2 to 3 leaves should be spaced 5x5 cm. The first fruit is harvested already in the year of sowing. The plantation stays in the same place for 2 or 3 years.
